SELMA, AL - The Mary Kay annual event organizers were unaware that the KKK, the White Aryan Resistance, NRA, American Nazi Party, and the GOP were having events in town the same week.
No one is sure how the riot started, but it seems that someone noticed the numerous women wearing pink in the downtown area near the Carl C. Morgan Convention Center. That started a fire storm on social media. After that there was no controlling the mob.
Not realizing what the riot was about, the Mary Key event was not cancelled and went off as planned. Unfortunately, Selma was nearly burned to the ground.
The first social media posts were eventually traced to one gun-toting Billy Sherman from Ohio, who just happened to stop Selma on a road trip across the South on his way to Savannah.
As a postscript, the Mary Kay event planners have been unable to secure a venue for next year's event.
